What apps should I mute first?

Start with the apps you open without thinking.

For many people, that means social media, games, short video apps, shopping apps, news, or anything that turns “just one minute” into much longer.

A good first setup is simple:

  • mute 2–5 apps that distract you most;
  • use Mute during one specific part of your day;
  • adjust later if needed.

You don’t need to block everything.

Mute works best when it helps you protect the time you actually care about.
