What to do if you keep reaching for your phone

Reaching for your phone is normal. Most apps are designed to make that feel automatic.

Mute helps by adding a small pause between the impulse and the app.

If you keep reaching for your phone during a session, try this:

  1. Notice what you were about to open.
  1. Ask what you actually need — a break, a message, a task, or just a habit.
  1. Keep Zephy somewhere visible.
  1. Start with shorter sessions.
  1. Mute fewer apps at first if blocking everything feels too strict.

The goal is not to be perfect.
